Raven's Progressive Matrices

The Raven's Progressive Matrices (RPM) Test is a high-level, non-verbal assessment tool. This abstract reasoning test is regarded as a reliable estimate of fluid intelligence.

Many students whom apply to Futures Forge have not taken standardized tests (we typically accept: SAT, ACT, PSAT 10, PSAT 11, GCSE, WISC, Raven’s, and other IQ tests).

Students who score in the 80th+ percentile of these assessments are invited to interview with us and must select between the full-fee and scholarship block:

  • The full-fee block grants a guaranteed spot on the dates of your choice to the Skills for Success program

  • The scholarship block has two components:

    • 90th-97th percentile test scores prequalify for a Half Scholarship (up to 50% of fees, based on total financial need)

    • 98th+ percentile scores prequalify for a Full Scholarship (up to 100% of fees, based on total financial need)

We administer the Raven’s Progressive Matrices (RPM) Test for students without a test score. It costs $40 to take the test. Due to the number of applicants, we can't waive or subsidize this fee. Here’s what to do if you’re thinking about taking the test to qualify:

  1. Learn about the RPM here

  2. Practice for the test to get a sense of how you might score, here is a free practice test

  3. If you score at least 4/5, that gives you a good sense that you might qualify for Futures Forge (it’s worth practising a couple of times and understanding where you were right or wrong)

  4. Email hello@futuresforge.org saying “I’m ready to take the RPM & have completed the practice test”

  5. Take the test with Pearson (online)

  6. Pay the $40 through PayPal to Futures Forge so we can release your results and offer an interview if you scored 80th+ percentile
